Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has any info on the BrailleNote Apex QT 32-cell moddle apart from what's already on the humanware site? I can't seem to find much in the way of using the device. I've used a BN before, but it was the MPower bt 18 cell moddle. How is the apex different apart from the newer software, hardware, etc?
Thanks,
Darth
Darth, I have an apex qt32, and to be honest, there is not much difference between the apex qt and mpower qt. The qt is used similarly to the bt, spce to go forward in menus backspace to go back, also in the main menu, if k is pressed, then you will enter a keyboard learn mode, where if any button is pressed the unit will tell you what that button press does.

Thanks, Mathew. That'll help me out. I'm rather ankcious to receive it, so I've been trying to find as much info as is humanly plssible. *smiles.*
I understand that from the stuff I've read up on about the device, it uses Windows CE 6.0 and if I'm correct, Keysoft 9.0 versis the MPowr's keysoft 8.2 or something and windows CE 4.2.
Wow! I didn't know the Apex came in a QT form. I'll probably be getting one here before long, and I was hoping it did, but I looked on the Humanware site and didn't see a thing about it. This post has helped a lot. Thanks, guys.
The Apex, both the BT and QT, runs Keysoft V9.1, with support for the newer wireless protocols and better handling of file types. User manuals for both the BT and QT are on the HumanWare website under Support/BrailleNote/Apex.
Cheers
Sam
That is correct. Actually, one of the guys I know runs a support site on BrailleNote and he uses a BT unit with 9.1 on it. I heard this guy's info is more comprehensive than that of HW's site.
That's cool!. i'm thinking of getting a bt. 332.. smilely.
